PhysCap Annual Football Tournament: Promo Parrot Have All The Gear, But No Idea!

Promo Parrot PhysCap Annual Football Tournament

Sunday 21st July 2013 saw the return of the PhysCap annual football tournament. PhysCap is a charity that’s dedicated to improving the quality of life for children suffering from severe physical disabilities. Our very own Charles is heavily involved with supporting the work that they do so each year he cajoles the troops at MPH and asks us to ‘grace the tournament with our presence’! Every year it is sold as a fun filled day where teams from all across the region converge on the Leeds Grammar School to showcase their footballing prowess, all in the name of a great cause.

Having spent a week talking tactics, preparing the branded kit (after all, branding is what we do!), eating right and dusting off the boots – some of which had been out of action since the 2012 tournament, the day had finally arrived.

We all arrived bright and early, well, as bright as you can be on a Sunday morning! The team assembled, still full of blind optimism, pumped and raring to go. There was a slight delay whilst all the teams registered, got kitted up and listened to the rules and schedule for the day.

Then, BOOM! The time had come, time to get your head ‘in the game’, warm up and give your body the required goodness to fuel an assault on the PhysCap title. I’m sure you will agree, the long awaited tactics were executed perfectly by Stephen…

Each group was allocated a pitch, with each group comprising of 4 teams. MPH had drawn the group that included the Corrie All-stars! We got in the picture request nice and early, after all, surely they wouldn’t want to take a picture with us after the thumping they were about to receive.

PhysCap Annual Football TournamentHaving eyed up the competition in Game 1, the moment arrived. MPH’s time to shine!

…..I’ll leave it there. We won (honest!). That’s all you need to know! Here is a picture of us collecting the much deserved trophy, as you can see, we decided to change kit and don masks for the ceremony…!
